Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms apply when you use rarespec.eu ("Rarespec"). By creating an account or listing a part, you agree to them. Rarespec is run by Justinas Beneckas, carrying out individual activity in Lithuania under individual activity certificate (individualios veiklos pažyma) no. 1274994, Kalvarijų g. 188A-44, Vilnius, Lithuania. Not VAT registered. Contact: info@rarespec.eu.
1. What Rarespec is
Rarespec is a curated classifieds site for rare, high-end used car parts and wheels in the EU. Sellers list parts, we review every listing by hand, and buyers contact sellers directly.
We are not a party to any sale. We don't sell parts, take payment for them, handle shipping, or hold money. The contract for a part is only between the buyer and the seller. We don't inspect parts in person, so our review is not a guarantee of authenticity, condition or fitment.
2. Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and sign in with a Google account.
- Give accurate details. You may add a phone number; it is shown to buyers who reveal your contact.
- One person, one account. Keep your Google account secure; you're responsible for what happens on your Rarespec account.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing info@rarespec.eu.
3. Listing a part
- You can only list parts you own and have the right to sell, located in an EU country.
- Describe the part honestly: genuine brand, part number, condition, defects, fitment and photos of the actual item. Photos must be your own.
- Not allowed: replicas and counterfeits, cheap no-name or aftermarket copies, everyday service parts, stolen parts, parts that are illegal to sell or fit, anything that isn't a car part or wheel, and personal details or links to other marketplaces in the listing.
- Some categories have a minimum price; if your price is too low, the sell form tells you. Once a listing is live you can lower the price but not raise it.
- Review. We approve, ask for more information, or reject each listing. A rejection is final for that listing. We decide what fits Rarespec at our discretion and give a reason when we reject or remove a listing.
- After approval you can hide the listing (it goes back to draft), mark it sold, or delete it while it's a draft, info-requested or rejected.
- You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show your listing text and photos on Rarespec, in our emails and in our own promotion of Rarespec, for as long as the listing is on the site (and in promotion already published).
- Private sellers only (beta). During the beta, you may only sell as a private person, not as a business, dealer or trader, and not parts you bought in order to resell them. Every seller on Rarespec is a private seller, so EU consumer rights that apply when buying from a business (such as the 14-day right of withdrawal) generally don't apply to purchases on Rarespec.
4. Buying
- Browsing is open to everyone. To see a seller's contact details you must be signed in. Reveals are limited (currently 50 per 24 hours).
- Use contact details only to ask about or buy that part. No spam, resale of the data or harassment.
- Check the part yourself before paying. Prefer pickup or secure payment methods, and be wary of anyone asking for unusual payment or for payment before you can verify the item.
- Disputes about a part, payment or delivery are between you and the seller.
5. Featured listings
- A seller can pay to feature a live listing for 14 days. The fee depends on the listing price: under €250: €8.99; €250 to €999: €12.99; €1,000 to €2,499: €16.99; €2,500 and over: €19.99. No VAT is added, because we are not VAT registered.
- Request featuring from My listings or by email. We send payment details and turn featuring on after payment.
- Featuring ends early, with no refund, if you hide the listing or mark it sold. It also ends with no refund if we take the listing down or suspend your account for breaking these terms. It can't be stopped by the seller.
- Withdrawal right: by asking us to start featuring straight away, you agree it starts within the 14-day withdrawal period and that you lose the right to withdraw once the 14 days of featuring are fully delivered.
6. Rules for everyone
Don't: post false or misleading content; use Rarespec for fraud or scams; collect other users' data; copy or scrape the site; try to break or overload the site; create accounts to get around a suspension.
7. Reporting, removal and suspension
- Reporting. Every listing has a "Report this listing" link. It opens an email to info@rarespec.eu with the listing link already filled in. Please tell us why you think the listing is illegal or breaks these terms, and confirm you believe your report is accurate. You can report a user the same way. We review every report, act on it without undue delay, and tell you what we decided.
- Contact point. info@rarespec.eu is our single point of contact for users and for authorities. We answer in English and Lithuanian.
- We may reject or take down a listing, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms or the law. A suspended account can't submit listings or reveal contacts. We'll email you the decision, the reason, which rule it's based on, and how to challenge it.
- If you disagree with a decision, reply to that email and a person will review it again.
8. Our liability
- Rarespec is provided "as is". We try to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- We are not responsible for the parts, the listings' accuracy, users' conduct, or any deal between buyer and seller.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example for death or injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer).
- Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for example Featured fees), or €100 if you paid nothing.
9. Ending
You can stop using Rarespec and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We may change or stop the service; if we close it, we'll give reasonable notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and email you about important changes at least 15 days before they apply. If you keep using Rarespec after that, the new terms apply.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the EU country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first at info@rarespec.eu; most issues can be sorted out by email.
12. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
